SAA History
The Sustainable Alberta Association (SAA), established in 1998, and Commuter Challenge experience since 1993.  SAA is a non-profit organization with a strong volunteer component with a board of directors consists of representatives from business, government and the non-profit sector.  Our main focus is to improve the personal, social and environmental health of Calgarians through encouraging citizens to leave their cars at home and commute by foot, bicycle, bus, train, carpool and telecommunications.

Together, Kathryn Winkler, our Executive Director and Workshop Coordinator Rebecca O'Brien, have twenty plus years of experience in the business of sustainable transportation.  With our new Saddle Up! program, we hope to help transform the daily commuting habits of Calgarians.

Our longevity and success within Calgary can be attributed directly to the dedication of our citizens and the generous support of our sponsors and community partners.
